Wet Wings (2026)
A downloadable game
Wet Wings
Wet Wings is an interactive fiction game written in Inform 6 using the PunyInform library. Inspired by the classic text adventures of the 8-bit era, it is a psychological thriller about trauma and human resilience.

Step into the shoes of Dashiell, a man whose life seems to have come to a standstill as everything around him begins to fall apart. When he sets out on a long journey north, he will discover that the road leads not only to unfamiliar places, but deep into himself.
Explore a world filled with characters, conversations, places to discover, and secrets waiting to be uncovered. Travel between different environments, take to the road, and cover long distances behind the wheel as time passes and the world around you changes. Investigate, solve puzzles, and make choices as you uncover clues hidden in the places you visit, the objects you find, and the people you meet.

How to play
Wet Wings is a classic interactive fiction adventure. Unlike a traditional graphical adventure, the world is presented primarily through text descriptions. You interact with the game by typing commands and telling Dashiell what you want him to do.
When an object is mentioned or described, you can interact with it in different ways. You might examine it, take it, or give it to another character. Characters can also be examined and spoken to, and you may be able to give them objects or interact with them in other ways depending on the situation.
You can explore the world by moving between locations using cardinal directions such as NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, and WEST. Other forms of movement may also be available, such as ENTER, EXIT, or following a particular route.
Experiment with different commands to discover what you can do. If you are unsure what to try, type HELP for assistance.
Remember to save your game with SAVE and restore a previous position with RESTORE. Wet Wings has six possible dead ends and only one true ending, so saving your progress can be useful when making important decisions.
There is no single way to interact with the world. Look closely, examine your surroundings, talk to people, and experiment.

Interactive fiction for a new generation
Wet Wings draws on the tradition of classic text adventures, where words are the main means of exploration and interaction. It brings that spirit into the present with a story-driven experience built around exploration, interaction, and the choices you make along the way.
A simple interface, a world to explore, and words as the main tool for interaction. Everything you need is in the text — the rest is left to your imagination.
